Taha Muhammad Ali (1931-2011) was born in Tsipori, a village in Galilee. His family fled to Lebanon when he was 17. He later returned to Israel (after being expelled twice) and spent the rest of his life in Nazareth, where he had a shop selling souvenirs. His work includes several volumes of poetry and some fiction in Arabic.
