Yusi Avianto Pareanom was born in 1968 in Central Java. After graduating in Geodesic Engineering, he worked as a journalist. He now writes, translates, and edits the works of authors into Indonesian. He serves on the Jakarta Arts Council; his latest book is a collection of short stories, Golden Weasel Trickery (2017).
