Marion Oxley Snowflake
Look back down the long road covered in virgin snow
stretching out like a bride’s discarded veil. See a twig
of a girl wearing the sky, tattered weight dragging
her down. Head tilted back she sniffs in the warm air.
Far away ice is thawing, calving into something new.
