Harryette Mullen’s poetry collections include Urban Tumbleweed (Graywolf, 2013), Recyclopedia (Graywolf, 2006), and Sleeping with the Dictionary (University of California, 2002). Her essays and interviews are collected in The Cracks Between (University of Alabama, 2012). A critical edition of her poetry, Her Silver-Tongued Companion, is forthcoming in 2022 from Edinburgh University Press. She teaches American poetry, African American literature, and creative writing at UCLA.
