Peter Bakowski when writing poems keeps in mind the following quotes: 'Use ordinary words to say extraordinary things' (Schopenhauer); 'Writing is painting' (Bukowski); 'Make your next poem different from your last' (Frost). Here is his blog.
Peter has been writing poetry for over twenty years. His first book, In the Human Night, won the Victorian Premiers Award for Poetry. Peter has self-organized and self-financed over a dozen poetry tours by car, visiting many regions of Australia, some tours covering over 10,000 kilometers. He and his family live in the Greek-Vietnamese suburb of Richmond in Melbourne.
