Roger Garfitt’s latest collection is The Action (Carcanet, 2019). His memoir, The Horseman’s Word (Jonathan Cape, 2011) was shortlisted for the PEN/Ackerley Prize and is now a Vintage paperback. A friend of long standing, he wrote Jon Silkin’s entry for Dictionary of Literary Biography, Vol 27: Poets of Great Britain and Ireland, 1945-1960 (Gale, 1984).
