Alison Cohen lives in Glasgow where she has an allotment and, until recently, kept bees. She was a Clydebuilt 14 Verse Apprentice mentored by J. L .Williams and is currently working on her first pamphlet. Her poems have been published in journals including New Writing Scotland, Gutter and Magma. She won the Hugh Miller Poetry Competition (2020), Federation of Writers (Scotland) Autumn Equinox Prize (2022) and was commended in Hippocrates Prize (2024). One of her poems is included in the SPL’s Best Scottish poems 2022.
