Massimiliano Nastri grew up in a German-speaking village, up on the Italian Alps, but was born in the south of Italy, Naples, in 1973. He has been living in Ireland, north and south, since 2006, doing different jobs and eventually, getting his last PhD at Queen’s University, Belfast, where he worked as a teaching assistant. He is revising his PhD thesis on the interwar collapse of centre-right parties and the rise of fascism. He has written an unpublished political novel, and is working on another.
